PRIMARY and Secondary Education Minister Torerayi Moyo will be the guest of honour at the world-renowned Education World Forum (EWF), which is set to be held in the United Kingdom in May next year.
Minister Moyo revealed this development while addressing hundreds of school heads from Matabeleland North province at Coalfields Primary School in Hwange on Friday last week.
“I thought of informing you that your Minister has been invited to be the guest of honour at a prestigious education event, EWF in the United Kingdom in May. This is a feather to the country’s education system,” said Minister Moyo.
EWF is the world’s largest annual gathering of education and skills ministers, offering a unique, peer-to-peer, invitation-only platform for open and candid dialogue. The safe, confidential space allows ministers and their teams to engage deeply, share insights and collaborate on solutions to the most pressing challenges in education.
The forum underscores that education is central to navigating these intersecting challenges, equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, competencies and values needed to build human-centred, peaceful, just and sustainable societies.
Through a diverse programme of plenary sessions, parallel tracks and workshops, the forum enables focused conversations and the exchange of practical experiences.
