THE Matobo Amateur Sports Association (Masa) Sikhethimpilo HIV and Aids Awareness Soccer Final will be played at Maphisa Growth Point today.

Sikhethimpilo is an HIV/Aids awareness organisation that operates in Matabeleland South.

The final pits St Josephs FC and White Rangers. St Josephs beat Matabeleland South Region League side The Venue FC in the semi-finals, while White Rangers of Mahetshe edged miners Falcon on penalties to book their place in the final.

Sikhethimpilo administrator Sister Mlauzi said: “It is worthy to have HIV/Aids conscious youths in Matobo. Through sport, we call for abstinence before marriage and faithfulness to one’s partner thereafter.”

She said this year’s theme is “Living positively with those infected with and affected by HIV and Aids”.

“The stage is set for the event beginning with a parade and a march at 10AM, with the matches scheduled to start at midday. The first match will be the third and fourth place play-off pitting Falcon and The Venue and the final will be at 2PM.” — @DecoDecent2
