Meanwhile, Ali Hassion was crowned this year’s Warren Hills club captain tournament champion after scoring an impressive 71 at the weekend.
Hassion got the better of the 107 players that took to the field for the event aimed at raising funds for the refurbishment of the course.
The club captain, Sydney Mashava, paid tribute to the participants.
“We are happy with the turnout and we thank every one who supported us in the event. We hope next year it will be bigger and better,” Mashava said.
The A-division had competitive players who have their handicaps from zero –13.
Gerald Muzavazi was runner-up in the A-division as he shot a 77.
In the B Division, Julius Nenzou won the first prize after he carded an impressive 66, which saw him beating Ricky Musiiwa by six shots.
Zimpapers’ Lovemore Mugawa was second to Innocent Nousenga in the C-Division after he carded a 72.
Tournament co-ordinator Evelyn Maisvoreva said she was impressed by the turnout and hopes the proceeds will help the club in a big way.
“I am thankful to all those who took part in the event and hope the money will help the club in big way,” Maisvoreva said.
