In its quest to grow and reach out to all its members, the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe is introducing the Manicaland Top Brands and Marketing Excellence Awards.
The awards are aimed at recognising organizations and individuals in Manicaland province who have successfully initiated marketing efforts to build reputable brands and companies.
These awards are part of the part of the Exceptional Marketing Awards that the Association has been running over the past years.
The Manicaland Awards will be held at a Mutare hotel tonight (Friday) under the theme ‘Igniting creativity and growth for brand success’.
Guest speaker at the awards will be MAZ board member, Ms Carol White.
In 2021, MAZ decided to decentralise the EMA awards to provinces in order to recognise marketing efforts by regional or provincial executives whose campaigns may fail to make it into the national awards.
MAZ executive secretary, Mr Gillian Rusike said the Association is excited to be hosting the first edition of the Manicaland Top Brands and Marketing Excellence Awards.
“MAZ is an Association with a membership base drawn from across Zimbabwe and beyond and in order for us to recognise and know our members, we decided to decentralise the EMA awards to the provinces.
“We realised that there are a lot of marketers and executives doing well in the provinces who need recognition for their work, “said Mr Rusike.
He highlighted that the decentralisation of the EMA awards began in 2021 in Bulawayo and the move was welcomed by many, hence the decision to move to Manicaland Province.
