Mazda T35: A legend in commercial vehicles

Swaraj Mazda, is an Indian company engaged in manufacturing of vehicles for goods and passenger applications.
The company is in a joint venture with Punjab Tractors, Mazda Motor Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation, Japan for the manufacture of light commercial vehicles.
In Zimbabwe the Madza T35 buses and the 5 tonne long based trucks and even the short standard 3 tonne ones are found at Mr T35 in New Ardbennie, Harare.
When I had a chat with Martin Beula the sales manager from Mr T35, I thought to myself this is quite a bore but after having a look at the vehicle and what it has to offer, I had a change of heart.
The trucks are ideal for any business that require light transportation and they are quite affordable as their price range from about US$12 500 to US$30 000.
The 30 seater Mazda T35 buses are popular with schools that require a smaller bus as an alternative for the 75-seater buses.
Mr T35 has added a long base truck, which is a first in Zimbabwe. It’s not your usual T3500 but this company has decided to offer the client more space.
They have achieved this by building the 5 tonne dropside body truck all fitted on a Mazda engine.
When I got behind the wheel of the truck I was a little jittery, as this was my first time to drive a robust workhorse.
As a truck one cannot expect it to exude comfort but I was pleasantly surprised that it does have some from of comfort but more importantly it gets the job done.
When it comes to handling it is not rigid. It handles curves quite impressively and as you meander up and down and sideways on the hilly plain, you don’t worry about having to stiffen your arms to keep it on the road.
With maximum Torque sitting at 22,6Kg-M and 1750Rpm, this vehicle is still as competitive and practical as ever.
So when you buy this truck in any tonnage that it is available in, you are assured of great after sales service because what makes a vehicle is the engine.
It comes with lower operating costs. The simplified design cuts down the maintenance time by 50 percent comparing with the peer engine models.
High efficient and precise fuel injecting ensures that the T3500 always remains at the optimal condition.
Its high-precision electronic control system and fuel pump control unit ensures precise fuel spraying and spray time, and can be adjusted in accordance with the working conditions of the engine to ensure that the engine always has power.
This also minimises fuel consumption and ensures that emissions reach the optimal output state.
It has sufficient fuel combustion because of the double-stage inlet filtration system that improves air intake quality and air-cooling.
Its turbo-charged inter-cooling lowers the temperature of the intake air, and increases the intake air volume.
A double-stage pressure fuel injector ensures that the pre-jet and main jet come true which realises the sufficient fuel combustion and reduces fuel consumption.
The design of the complete truck or bus and drive system are optimised to guarantee that each horsepower output by the engine can be transformed into a driving force.
So why not visit Mr T35. Service and support are available locally so your vehicle will be well serviced.
They also offer warranty on their vehicles which is a first because used vehicles especially with our economy in Zimbabwe do not come with such.
Till next week, read on and stay blessed.
