This year’s 9th edition of the European Film Festival is set to run from Thursday to Sunday at the Mbare Art Space, Harare.
The European Film Festival (EUFF) is an annual event that showcases a curated selection of European films launched in 1991.

However, this year’s edition is set to showcase African collections including Ubuntu- contemporary pan-Africanism projection mapping by Kombo Chapfika (Artlab Courtyard), a trip down memory lane by Nyauist as DJ on vinyl set, Bioskop Zimbabwe Short Film screening among other acts on the lineup.

The festival will begin on Thursday with a masterclass from actress and director Daniel Lasker’s session will run under the theme “Becoming an actor and Filmmaker My journey from Zimbabwe to the international screen”.

Great transformation has been done on the space that was once a public drinking area. So much commitment has been put towards the transformation of the hub.

It has become an innovation hub for the youths within and in the surrounding areas. It is now a narrative of the other side of Mbare through art.
