Mbare resident left disabled after robbery attack

A 28-year-old Mbare man is appealing for financial assistance to undergo treatment after he was attacked by armed robbers leaving him with two broken legs.

The victim Clayton Mushambi, is currently admitted at a Harare hospital after being brutally attacked. Clayton was attacked on August 13 this year and the incident occurred around 6 pm when the robbers attempted to steal from him.

They severely injured him and is no longer able to walk. The case was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of the perpetrators.

However, Clayton is now facing a new challenge as he cannot afford the necessary surgery to treat his legs. In an interview with this publication, Clayton’s sister Guideness Mushambi said:

“We are pleading for US$1400 to cover the surgical costs; a sum we cannot afford on our own.

“Hospital officials confirmed that my brother Clayton requires urgent surgery to regain mobility in his legs.

 “We are rallying around him, seeking assistance to raise the necessary funds for his surgery,” she said.
