The first event hosted last Saturday at The Palms in Borrowdale by the recently formed MCMVVIP club, a social group for people to meet and exchange ideas, was a success.

The event held under the theme “business is pleasure”, started at 6pm with a chance for guests to take pictures and socialise.

Everyone was then seated by 8pm, with musicians Tammy Moyo, Nutty O, Ishan, Holy Ten and Chido Machanzi preforming.

Machanzi opened the stage with two songs “Diana” and “Ndipe Mari,” with Ishan performing nine songs after her, which included “On Call Away,” “Kure,” and “Lola.” It was around 10pm when Holy Ten took to the stage and sang ‘Kumba Kune Vanhu,” “ppetite,” “Georgina,” “Kakuzvida” and “Too Scared,” with Kimberly Richards joining him on stage.

Tammy Moyo, who is also the brand ambassador for the social club, gave a good performance, as did Nutty O, also known as  Ability Extension.

The crowd was happy to listen to Holy Ten, Tammy Moyo, Nutty O and Ishan per form the new song they recently released together called “Kumawere.”

Project manager Richard Kohola said the show went on well.

“It was good to see decision makers, celebrities and all types of people coming together and having a great time,” he said. “I would like to thank the cooperators who believed in this idea.

We are not giving up on one or two things we could have done better.

“We will definitely get better on the next edition.”

The club’s chief executive Anthony McMullen said they were looking forward to having an even greater experience next time.
