MDC-T MP in Facebook obscenities

caused a stir on the social networking site Facebook, after he posted obscenities directed towards a Zimbabwean woman based in London, United Kingdom.
The woman, Ms Barbara Nyagomo, had asked the MP how he had used the Constituency Development Fund availed to MPs by treasury in 2009.
Ms Nyagomo argued that it was not justifiable that the MP had used the money on paint and bus stops.
Instead of explaining his position, Mr Maramwidze insulted Ms Nyagomo with obscenities, using unprintable words.
Contacted for comment last Friday, Mr Maramwidze admitted that the Facebook account was his.
He, however, denied the vulgar messages posted on it claiming that it was the work of his enemies.
“I do not know what is happening at the moment. I have received several calls from people asking about this issue.
“The facebook account is mine but I do not know who posted that message but I suspect that there is politics at play,” he said.
Mr Maramwidze said he did not even know Ms Nyagomo and where she was based making it impossible for him to post such messages to her.
“I do not know her and where she lives,” he said.
Although he denied the messages, Mr Maramwidze was quoted by some online newspapers confirming that he was the author of the unprintable words.
He argued that it was Nyagomo who had provoked him.
Mr Maramwidze said Nyagomo’s insinuations were political in nature prompting his outburst.
Following Mr Maramwidze’s outbursts, several people posted their opinions on facebook saying the message by Mr Maramwidze had dragged the MDC-T’s image into disrepute.
They said the message mirrored the caliber of leaders in MDC-T.
“What he (Mr Maramwidze) did was stupid because he must be a role model and I think the MDC-T must put its legislators under induction course to learn public conduct,” posted one concerned citizen.
Another person argued: “These MDC-T thugs operating as party of excellence had some bad apples in them. Even myself I was told you are a ‘bastard’ by Senator (Obert) Gutu. I once respected that guy. I had only exercised my democratic right to speak my view pertaining his MDC-T party.”
