MDC-T senator faces 3 culpable homicide charges

Crime Reporter
Police are likely to prefer three charges of culpable homicide against MDC-T Senator for Binga, Herbert Madolosi Sinampande, following an accident that killed three people along the Harare-Bulawayo Road last Monday.
Police spokesperson Superintendent And-rew Phiri yesterday said they were still investigating the case.
“He is also facing another charge of failing to report an accident within 24 hours.
“Investigations are still in progress at Kadoma Police Station under CR Number 21/02/11,” he said.
Supt Phiri said Sinampande would be summoned to court.
Sinampande was travelling with Binga North legislator Patrick Sibanda when the accident occurred.
The two were in an Isuzu double-cab truck and offered a lift to 12 people in Bulawayo, Gweru and Kwekwe.
It is reported that the truck burst its left rear tyre, hit a tree and overturned several times.
Three people were killed on the spot while nine others were injured.
