Media clash in five-a-side tourney

Sports Reporter
JOURNALISTS from various media houses in Zimbabwe will trade their pens and  notebooks for football boots in a five-a-side tournament in Harare tomorrow.
Organisers of the event, MultiChoice Zimbabwe have lined up 12 media houses’ teams to take part in the event.
These are Zifm, Starfm, ZBC (TV and Radio), Zimpapers, Sportsline, Gemazo, Zimbabwe Mail, Alpha Media Holdings, Daily News, Zimbojam, The Observer and Southern Eye.

MultiChoice Zimbabwe public relations and publicity manager Elizabeth Dziva confirmed the participating teams on Monday.
Each media house will be represented by eight players and the organisers will provide playing kit.

Dziva said in future they would make considerations not to have the event on a Friday because other media houses might not be able to participate because it is a busy day for them.

They will also look at the issue of representation as some media houses got more slots than others despite their small workforces.
The Zimpapers, Bulawayo Branch will combine forces with its other branches and the Harare head office.
