Medical outreach in Murehwa

local businessman, has benefited more than 250 people in and around Kadenge Rural Health Centre in the Chirenga area of Murehwa West district. Mr Chibhanguza said he was bankrolling the programme to the tune of US$20 000 in an effort to bring medical services within the reach of the poor rural folk.

“Looking at the community I came across people who had not seen doctors in 15 or 20 years,” he said.
“I was touched by the plight of the poor and this prompted me and my wife to think about mobilising a team of doctors to bring healthcare services to the underprivileged sections of our society.”

He said the programme was meant to give back to the community and to thank President Mugabe for his visionary leadership.

“All the 15 doctors in the team are all products of President Mugabe’s scholarship programme. The whole team is made up of 15 doctors who have decided to thank the President for the support they got by offering free medical services to the masses here in Murehwa West district,” he said.
