Medical relief for Kadoma residents

KADOMA Ward 11 councillor, Cosmos Dhaka, has launched free medical consultation for residents unable to afford healthcare.

Through his company, Cossy Rules Holdings, Dhaka partnered with a medical institution, Balm of Hope, by subsidising consultation fees for those in need.

The free consultations are done every Wednesday.

“I have been trying to establish a medical service arm under Cossy Rules Holdings for a long time.

“I tried all I could, but did not get the right attitude. In searching for a way, I deliberated over the issue with Balm of Hope proprietors, who agreed to a partnership to make the intervention happen,” said Dhaka.

One of the beneficiaries of the programme, Tendayi Makuya, welcomed the councillor’s gesture.

Makuya said her Grade 6 child was diagnosed with hernia and now she consults for free.

“I came here with my child who is not feeling well. I heard about the programme from a fellow resident as I am offline.

“This is helping me a lot, as I can save the little money I have and use it for the child’s other needs,” she said.
