Imagine a student who possesses exceptional intelligence, creativity, and determination, and you will have a glimpse of the ideal student who invented the moving truck model.
This remarkable young student embodies the qualities of a true innovator, one who can transform an everyday problem into a ground-breaking solution.
Indeed, dreams are the spark that ignites the flame of creativity.
And for a Gweru-based Form 2 student, Tadiwanashe Chaboka, his dreams continue to prove that he is gifted.
Tadiwa is exceptional as his innovation started around 2020 and began to show signs of his inventory when he was in Grade 6, in the same year.
Now in Form 2 at Havard College, the young man has invented a haulage truck model that moves using a battery.
“It took me just two weeks to design this truck since I started to assemble it on October 1 and completed it mid-October.
“To design this, it’s something that comes naturally,” he said.
His dream is to take the truck to Sir Wicknell Chivhayo after he honoured his favourite comedians Sabhuku Vharazipi, Chairman, and Mbuya Mai Joni.
“I am the one who does everything on my own and I grew up being able to make these devices.
“The truck moves using batteries and I want to donate it to Sir Wicknell Chivhayo for helping actor Sabhuku Vharazipi and his crew. I was happy when he gave Mbuya Mai Joni, Chairman, and Vharazipi some money, if they helped, they would go far.
“So I just want him to give it to his children or put it on display.”
The creative Tadiwanashe has installed a radio inside the truck.
“I have installed a radio in the truck and I want it to appear as if it’s real.”
His dream is to make real cars and ships.
“I want to make real cars and ships and this truck can move forward and has a reverse gear as well.
“My advice to other young people is that they should use their talents.”
“I have also invented a car that moves using a remote.
“My gift comes from God.”
In 2020 the boy, when he was in grade 4 designed a remote-controlled heavy motor vehicle toy.
He revealed his artistic acts from a tender age and he spent most of his time experimenting.
“I use direct current to power the vehicle because it is not dangerous to use. I make my innovation from plastic waste, computer propellers, lights, and computer screens with wheels coming from dumped monarch bags and wood.”
