In every functioning health system, there is a quiet engine that keeps the nation alive; sourcing, storing and delivering the medicines that turn policy into practice and hope into healing.
In Zimbabwe, that engine is the National Pharmaceutical Company (NatPharm), the backbone of public sector medical supply.
Behind its evolving transformation story stands a formidable board, whose collective expertise spans clinical medicine, pharmaceutical regulation, corporate governance, finance, law and strategic business leadership.
From shaping national medicines policy and strengthening supply chain pliability to driving digital modernisation and fiscal discipline, this leadership team embodies a convergence of science, strategy and stewardship.
At the helm is Professor Chiratidzo Ellen Ndhlovu, a towering medical authority whose decades of clinical and policy experience anchor the institution’s strategic direction.
She is supported by an accomplished cadre of professionals drawn from the academia, Parliament, public health administration, corporate consulting, forensic audit and continental healthcare governance.
Together, they represent more than titles and credentials. They are the custodians of Zimbabwe’s pharmaceutical security, guiding NatPharm through reform, resilience-building and sustainable growth to ensure that medicines reach every province, every hospital and ultimately, every patient who needs them.
