A LAND dispute pitting two Epworth men has spilled into court.
Alfred Zimonga and Peter Kaniengo are now accusing each other of witchcraft.
Alfred has since applied for a peace order against Peter, accusing him of verbal abuse and issuing death threats.
“I am afraid of him since he has developed a tendency of planting needles and sprinkling coarse salt in my yard. They also throw stones towards my yard and my grandchild was injured and that matter is still pending in the criminal court,” said Alfred.
He said their land dispute started in December last year.
“He pretends to be a nice person here in court but the last time we were at the police station, he tried to attack me,” Alfred said.
Alfred also accused Peter of assaulting his wife whenever he’s away.
But Peter denied the allegations.
“It is a land dispute which has caused all this and Alfred wants me evicted,” he said.
However, magistrate Rutendo Machingura granted Alfred the peace order after weighing the arguments.
