Men’s volleyball team wins

Zimbabwe men’s volleyball team made it two-out-of-two with a clinical and much improved performance against winless Namibia in a Zonal World Championship qualifier here at the Institute of Health Services yesterday. The Tawanda Pamire led team laboured to a 3-2 win against Lesotho but in yesterday’s encounter pressure was a rarity if not non-existent.

They clobbered their opponents 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-15) to keep their hopes of making a second appearance at the Continental qualifiers to be played in Tunisia.

Artwell Gororo’s lads were strong in blocking with some good combinations at the net.
