Mentally-ill woman raped

remanded Muranda in custody and ordered him to apply for bail at the High Court.
Prosecutor Ms Junior Mugebe told the court that an informant, who is a bar tender at Maponga Bottle Store in Mhondoro, heard Muranda offering the woman US$1.
On November 6 this year and at around 11pm, the bar tender was going to the toilet where she saw Muranda and the complainant standing outside. She allegedly heard Muranda offering the complainant US$1, but she refused to take it.
Muranda, the court heard, forcibly undressed the complainant before raping her. The bar tender called two patrons and apprehended Muranda who was still in the act.
Muranda tried to flee from the scene when he realised that the three were coming for him.
