after winning the group following their 4-2 victory in Harare yesterday.
But, under pressure, Guinea responded in stylish fashion and the game was as good as over after the first 45 minutes when they led 3-1.
They then scored three times, without reply, after the break for the biggest victory in the group matches so far.
The way Mozambique were slaughtered in Guinea should also send a message to the Warriors, who are the next visitors to the West African nation this week, and take a very porous defence to the Atlantic port city.
Guinea beat Zimbabwe 1-0 in Harare in the first match of the qualifiers.
Yesterday, the West Africans scored through Mohamed Yattara (15th min, 90th min), Sadio Diallo (34th min, 45th min) and Ibrahim Traore (74th min, 80th min)
The last time the Warriors were in Conakry was in 2008, during the qualifiers for the 2010 Nations Cup, and Brazilian coach Valinhos and his men battled their way to a goalless draw.
Benjani Mwaruwari was the skipper.
