MGOQO Primary School continues to rule the roost in the Bulawayo Netball Junior League as they won all their fourth round fixtures at Emakhandeni Primary School on Tuesday.
Mgoqo were in rampant form as they thumped Mganwini 32-0 before making light work of Mabhukudwane whom they beat 36-0 and finally capping their fine day with a 20-5 victory over Mpumelelo.
They now lead the overall log standings with 33 points with second placed Inkanyezi on 30, but with a game in hand.
Inkanyezi thumped Mpopoma-based primary school Nkulumane 24-1 to keep up with pacesetters Mgoqo.
St Bernard’s managed to overpower giants Josiah Chinamano 11-10 before outclassing Mafela 13-4 in their final game.
Bulawayo Netball League fixtures secretary Precious Mudenge said the league is progressing well with the girls exploring their talents. “We have received an overwhelming response from the teachers and schools, for children to start playing competitive games every week it gives them an opportunity to develop their skills at a tender age and also gauge them against their peers,” said Mudenge.
