Gospel musician Mathias Mhere has applauded producer Munyaradzi Viya of Vialy Studio for bringing a new touch to his music.

Viya produced Mhere’s new album “Double Double” that is set to be launched on February 10 and the gospel musician says the producer’s fine touch has brought a big difference to his music.

Viya has become a household name for producing Jah Prayzah’s previous three albums and Suluman Chimbetu’s “Gunship” as well as “Toti Toti” by Tocky Vibes.

Mhere said the producer has made his album unique and is confident it will take him to a higher level on the gospel scene.

“Munya is a talented producer. I decided to work with him after realising how he has made so many hits with popular musicians and I am happy with my decision. This album is indeed on top of my previous releases. I am not saying my previous producers were not good but Viya has taken that good music to another level. I am confident we will go on a new level with ‘Double Double’,” said Mhere.

The album is Mhere’s fifth and it will be launched at Rainbow Towers Hotel on February 10.

It has 10 tracks that include the title track “Double Double”, “Makorokoza Muchechi” and “Nhau yaNoah” among others.

Mhere said the album is a continuation from his album “Glory to Glory”.

“As an artiste I have learnt to create a lineage of my music story line and to keep up with that, ‘Double Double’ is a continuation from all my albums. I looked at how God moved us from glory to glory and got a revelation that the next thing is a double portioned blessing, hence the title,” he said.

Viya said he was happy to work with Mhere adding that the gospel singer has great talent and a bright future.

“I was glad to work with Mathias. I only added the technical aspect to the great music that he does. He is talented and set to go places. I hope we will continue working together to ensure that he takes gospel music to another level,” said Viya.
