Mhere takes ‘Favour’ to US

“I am happy to be invited to perform in the US. It clearly shows my music is being appreciated by people from all walks of life. God has plans for this tour, so we are going to give our best acts,” he said.

Mhere has been busy staging shows in and outside Harare as part of preparations for the tour.
“We had a very busy month preparing for this tour. Last weekend we performed in three different cities – Chinhoyi, Marondera, and Bulawayo. We want to make sure that we also stage shows in Kariba and Beitbridge before we go on tour,” he said.

It seems there is no end in accolades coming the musician’s way as he was recently appointed ambassador by the Zimbabwe Amalgamated Housing Association. He said the US tour will give him a platform to interact with his fans and open more international doors for the band.

“Munhu waMwari iyi ndiyo inonzi favour yatakamboimba nezvayo. Handina zvakawanda parizvino asi kungoti tichanoshumira kuUnited States (Man of God the call is really God’’s grace, we are going to sing and spread His word in the US)”, he said.

Mhere is now rated among Zimbabwe’s top gospel singers. The pint-sized musician is hot property on the local scene where “Favour” and the controversial “Chipositora” have been topping the charts countrywide.
Only last week, he dazzled fans in Chinhoyi at the “Vharai Gedhi” concert.
