He is appealing against both conviction and sentence.
Mhindu was last month ordered to serve a two-year prison term for swindling former Zimbabwe Football Association chief executive Henrietta Rushwaya of a house in Greendale.
He sold her a non-existent US$75 000 house.
The courts ordered him to restitute Rushwaya and when he failed a jail sentence was imposed.
Justice Samuel Kudya upheld the decision by magistrate Mr William Bhila to deny the clergyman bail pending appeal.
Justice Kudya ruled that the application lacked merit and that the clergyman did not even have “an arguable case on appeal”. – CR.
