UK-BASED reggae singer, Mic Inity, says he has connected with seasoned Jamaican musicians as he tries to add value to his brand.
He says reggae music runs in his veins and he can never be separated from the genre.
The singer revealed this as he spoke about his two new singles set for release this month.
Titled “Who Am I” and “Glory, featuring Tocky Vibes”, the songs were produced by T Man, Mount Zion and DJ Citie.
“I have always been more on the roots, which is reggae-conscious and lovers rock.
“I am also taking time to provide my loyal reggae fans with some new material both from Zimbabwean producers and some international producers as well.
“There is more music and more reggae vibes coming out this year.
“I also have a couple of collaborations on the new songs to be released,” he said.
Mic Inity, who used to attract a full house at his midweek and Friday night slots at Manenberg and Red Fox Hotel, said he has assembled a new band.
“Since I relocated to the UK, I have teamed up with a group of elderly seasoned Jamaican musicians.
“I have branded the band Hotta Fyah, just as it was known in Zimbabwe.
“We have been received well at the venues we have played around the UK.
“There is a wider audience to explore so I can gladly say I’m planting my seed.
“I also did quite a lot of shows in Germany, with Small Axe Sound System, opening for Johnny Osbourne, Keith and Tax who did Stop That Train song and also Atomic Spliff.”
He hinted he will be visiting the country sometime this year and will have a homecoming show featuring an array of artists.
Earlier this year, Mic Inity released a dancehall album titled 4.0.
