“I’m so happy to share new music with you guys! Y’all have been patient and so supportive. I have been just as anxious to let you guys hear what I’ve been doing in the studio!
So here goes my lead single ‘If We Had Your Eyes’ from my new album,” wrote Michelle in a note to fans.
“I want to thank you all for your patience and love! I am so excited for you guys to hear what I have cooked up with @HarmonyBOE,” she added.
Due this summer, the project will be the singer/ songwriter’s fourth effort, and her first in five years.
According to Billboard.com, the opus will be an “urban Inspirational record,” which will be produced mainly by Harmony.
Michelle linked with the producer after working on a song for Kelly Rowland’s upcoming album, which will also feature Beyonce.
On the producer’s talent she says, “Ah ha! I see what the fuss is all about”.
Michelle’s last album was 2008’s “Unexpected”, which debuted and peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard 200 and No. 11 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, and spawned the singles “We Break The Dawn,” and “The Greatest”. — Singersroom.
