The two players left for their motherland at the end of last season to play county cricket.
Rhinos area manager Admire Marodza confirmed that the pair would be turning out for the Midlands-based franchise side.
He said they had also retained the bulk of senior players who include the franchise’s most prized possession and national team skipper Brendan Taylor, Rikki Wessels and Malcolm Waller.
“I can confirm that the pair of Gary Ballance and Solomon Mire have already agreed terms with us which will see them playing for Rhinos for the forthcoming season.
“We have also retained the bulk of the players who did duty for us last season including Brendan Taylor, Rikki Wessels and Malcolm (Waller) among others and we will be making a few additions from our developmental side and other franchises so that we can challenge for honours ahead of the upcoming season,” Marodza said.
Ballance and Mire joined Rhinos during the 2010 /11 season and since then they have been an integral part of the franchise side helping Rhinos to make it to the final of the 2010/11 Stanbic Twenty/20 Tournament before losing in last season’s Coca-Cola Pro-50 Championships final to Mashonaland Eagles.
