MOTOR ACTION are expected to leave for Madagascar early this morning for the return leg of the preliminary round encounter against Cnaps Sports scheduled for this Sunday.
The Mighty Bulls’ trip had appeared in doubt this week after the club revealed they were having trouble in raising money for airfares.
Motor Action will be out to keep alive their maiden Champions League campaign when they meet Cnaps Sports in the reverse leg
But they face a mammoth task as they need to beat the Malagasy side and overturn a 1-0 deficit after suffering a setback in the first leg of the preliminary round match at Rufaro two weeks ago.
Coach Joey Antipas, however, re-mains confident and has kept faith in the team after keeping the bulk of the squad that featured in the first leg.
Motor Action had a warm-up game against Dynamos last Sunday and fared much better than their lifeless display against Cnaps in the first leg.
“We drew many lessons from the friendly tie against Dynamos and I think we were much better compared to our performance against the Malagasy side. But we just need to keep improving.
“There are areas that need to be sorted out and hopefully by the time we play the match in Madagascar we will be okay.
“We have talked to the players and we stressed the need to improve their individual performances.
“We also need to concentrate more because the goals that we conceded against Dynamos were clearly a result of defensive blunders.
“The same happened in the first leg match and I feel we need to tighten up at the back and be more creative in our midfield.
“This week we were working on our game plan. One thing for sure is that when you are playing away from home you need to be tactically aware,” said Antipas.
Midfielder Thembani Masuku has been ruled out because of injury while former Lengthens defender Godfrey Moyo is set to be replaced by Sam Mutenheri who is returning from injury.
William Kupera is also joining the squad after missing the first leg assignment.
