Going to Victoria Falls was always my dream and when my school announced that there was trip I did not hesitate to tell my parents and when they said yes I was thrilled.
The day of the departure dawned on me with the coolness and moistness that made my skin tingle and my mind alert.
I went to school and my luggage was put in the bus and we left for Victoria Falls at 10am. I was very excited to embark on this trip.
We arrived at midnight and we all went to bed but I could not sleep because of excitement.
On the following day after breakfast we went on a guided tour of the Falls and the traditional village. Here we saw the spectacular Devil’s Cataract, Main Falls as well as the Horseshoe Falls.
At the village we had an opportunity to purchase some of Zimbabwe’s arts and crafts.
In the afternoon after we had launch at Victoria Falls Safari Lodge we went for a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River. We went out one group at a time to avoid overloading the boat.
We took lots of pictures so that we would not forget the magnificent Victoria Falls and I am still so excited I saw one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and I am proud of my country.
