adminYAOUNDE. — Former Cameroon international Roger Milla has criticised proposals from Morocco to put off the 2015 African Cup of Nations beyond the scheduled date following the outbreak of the Ebola disease.
The competition is due to kick off on January 17 next year, but Morocco has requested for a deferral, as governments and health organisations across the globe push to contain the spread of the virus. Local health officials have warned that thousands of visitors coming to the three-week event could introduce the deadly virus into the North African country.
However, the 1990 World Cup sensation said the Kingdom could be hiding its true motives of not wanting to host the tournament behind Ebola.
