Mine Entra registration starts

THE Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company has started registration for this year’s Mining, Engineering, and Transport exhibition (Mine-Entra) to be hosted in Bulawayo in July.The specialised and international annual event, which is organised by the exhibition company, attracts local and foreign exhibitors in mining, engineering and transport sectors.

The ZITF Company indicated on its website that the 2015 Mine Entra would be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre from 22 to 24 July.

“Book your space now and take advantage of the early bird discount,” said ZITF Company on its website.

Mine Entra caters for the mutually compatible mining, engineering and transport sectors and their associated industries.

“Mid-year timing is for maximum convenience and corresponds to the industry’s main buying and tendering period. The event is open to traders and business visitors only,” said the ZITF Company.

Last year’s event, which ran under the theme, “Innovation, Beneficiation, Growth” saw 93 percent of the available exhibition space being taken as 218 companies exhibited.

Of the total exhibitors, 35 were foreign coming from China, Belgium, Germany and South Africa while 28 percent of the participants were new exhibitors and there was representation from small-scale mining bodies such as the United Women Miners’ Association, the Zimbabwe Artisanal and Small Scale Miners Council and the Ministry of Women Affairs, Gender and Community Development.

A total of 2,971 business visitors were admitted into last year’s Mine Entra compared to 2,558 in 2013.

The visitors included mainly mining and exploration companies and individuals; engineers and contractors; mechanics and artisans; industry experts and consultants; investors and financiers as well as small-scale miners, from Zimbabwe, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, China, India, Ireland, Malawi, Mozambique, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
