Minister Garwe to hand over title deeds to Kings City homeowners

THE Minister of Local Government and Public Works, Daniel Garwe, is today (Friday) set to hand over title deeds to homeowners at Kings City, a housing development by Radar Properties.

The handover of the title deeds complements President Mnangagwa’s Kwangu/Ngakwami Presidential Title Deeds Programme, which seeks to provide title deeds to homeowners, some of whom have lived for years in untitled premises, often risking the loss of their properties to unscrupulous land barons.

The broader project aims to deliver about 10 000 residential stands in the area. It will also include the construction of 14 schools, hospitals and other social amenities.

So far, Kings City has developed about 1 000 residential homes, including the upmarket Kingsbury Estate gated community.
The majority of beneficiaries at Kings City are Zimbabweans based in the diaspora, many of whom previously suffered financial losses due to unreliable property developers.
