THE Minister of State for Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs and Devolution Albert Nguluvhe on Saturday engaged people from the Tshitulipasi and Tshabili area in Ward 1 where he sensitised them on the Constitutional Amendment Bill No 3 (CAB3).
He also distributed 250 chicks under his two-year poultry pass-on initiative and called for increased community participation in grassroots development.
The engagement focused on strengthening community participation in national development and recognizing the role of traditional leaders in governance.

The Minister who is also Beitbridge East legislator said the CAB3 is designed to deepen collaboration between Government institutions, local leadership and citizens to drive inclusive development, accountability and social cohesion.
“Traditional leaders play a critical role in preserving cultural values, fostering unity, mobilizing communities, and ensuring that development initiatives reach grassroots communities effectively,” he said.
“It is very important that as leaders we give you feedback on such important processes such as the CAB3, so that we may move together with the same vision and same understanding”

Minister Nguluvhe also urged communities to use CAB3 as a platform to identify local challenges, promote unity and accelerate socio-economic transformation at ward and village level.
He said team work and coordination was critical in the implementation of Government and Community related development projects.
During the sensitization programme, the Minister also distributed 250 chickens to war veterans, the elderly, the youths and the widows under his ongoing two-year poultry pass-on project aimed at improving household incomes and food security.
“The empowerment of our people, especially the youth, remains central to sustainable community development. Through projects such as poultry farming, we are creating opportunities for families to improve their livelihoods while contributing to national food security,” said Minister Nguluvhe.
He said the poultry project was among the many economic and socio-economic and infrastructure development initiatives being rolled out in the constituency as part of fulfilling the promises he made to the community during the elections period.
