Matabeleland South’s Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Cde Albert Nguluvhe, has sourced essential accessories for nearly 2,000 pupils from 35 primary schools who will be sitting for their Grade 7 examinations this year.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Minister, who is also the legislator for Beitbridge East, said each student will receive a ruler, pencil and pen, ensuring they are well-equipped for their upcoming exams.
“This initiative is a testament to my commitment as the Member of Parliament to support the education and development of our children,” said Cde Nguluvhe.
“I believe that every child deserves access to quality education, and I am proud to play a role in making that a reality. I would like to extend my gratitude to the school administrations and teachers for their tireless efforts in shaping the minds of our future leaders.”
He also urged parents and guardians to continue supporting their children’s education, emphasizing its crucial role in their development.
“Together, we can build a brighter future for our children and our community,” added Minister Nguluvhe.
He promised to continue mobilizing resources to address the needs of community members while promoting their welfare.
With the students preparing to sit for their exams, the minister said they can now do so with confidence, knowing they have the necessary tools to succeed.
He also called on other community members to partner with the Government in improving service delivery in the education sector.
