Minister Soda urges media to keep public informed to drive Vision 2030

Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Dr Zhemu Soda has stressed the vital role of the media in keeping Zimbabweans well informed, saying timely and accurate public information is essential to supporting the nation’s drive to attain upper middle income status by 2030.

Dr Soda made these remarks during his visit to the Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC)’s Pockets Hill studios in Harare today.

The Information Minister stated that as the national broadcaster, ZBC plays a crucial role in keeping the public informed, educated, and entertained.

Dr Soda was accompanied by Deputy Minister Dr Omphile Marupi, Permanent Secretary Mr Nick Mangwana, Chief Director Mr Johnathan Gandari, and Director of Media Services Mr George Chisoko.

Mr Sugar Chagonda, ZBC’s Chief Executive Officer, reinforced the broadcaster’s pivotal role in national development.
