VICTORIA Falls, Zimbabwe – Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ziyambi Ziyambi addressed a distinguished gathering of legal experts at the 17th Congress of the Conference of Constitutional Jurisdiction of Africa (CJCA) today, underscoring the importance of constitutional governance and the rule of law.
In his remarks, Minister Ziyambi highlighted that this congress is the largest assembly of legal professionals in Africa, reflecting the continent’s commitment to upholding constitutional principles. “We are a constitutional government which respects the rule of law,” he said, emphasising the Government’s dedication to maintaining judicial integrity.
The Minister noted the cordial relationship between the Ministry of Justice and the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), which has developed out of a shared goal to enhance justice administration in Zimbabwe.
“This collaboration is vital for improving our legal framework and ensuring access to justice for all citizens,” Minister Ziyambi said.
As the session progressed, Minister Ziyambi invited Vice President Constantino Chiwenga to address the delegates, signalling the high-level support for the congress and its objectives.
The ongoing discussions at the CJCA aim to foster collaboration among African nations in promoting constitutionalism and the protection of human rights.
The congress, which has drawn participation from numerous countries, represents a significant opportunity for stakeholders to share insights and strategies for advancing legal frameworks across the continent.
