Ministerial delegation tours ZITF stands

A MINISTERIAL delegation led by Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa conducted a tour of stands at the on-going Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) yesterday where they interacted with exhibitors.The tour, which began shortly after the official opening of the International Business Conference, afforded local and foreign exhibitors an opportunity to share their experiences with the VP and the ministers.

VP Mnangagwa was accompanied by Industry and Commerce Deputy Minister Chiratidzo Mabuwa, Health and Childcare Minister David Parirenyatwa, Minister of State for Liaising on Psychomotor Activities in Education and Vocational Training Josiah Hungwe, Local Government and Public Works Minister, Ignatius Chombo, Agriculture Deputy Ministers Paddy Zhanda (livestock) and Davis Marapira (cropping).

The ministers began their tour at Hall Five, which houses the ruling Zanu-PF stand and several upcoming businesses where a number of locally made quality products were displayed.

The delegation that was accompanied by ZITF Company top executives, visited foreign exhibitors and took time to listen to their concerns and observe services offered.

The stands visited included Zambia, Japan, Mozambique, Pakistan, South Africa, Ethiopia, Namibia, Botswana, China and Cyprus.

Among the stands for local companies were hotel group African Sun, Stop to Start International, Alpha and Omega, National Foods, Datlabs, Delta Beverages, Zimtile, Proplastics, and Choppies Zimbabwe.

Others were the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA), the National University of Science and Technology, farm implements manufacturers and individual farmers.
