JESUS for Africa Evangelistic Ministries (JFAEM) is celebrating its 20th anniversary next week.
Despite the lack of regular income from tithes and offerings that typically fund other ministries, JFAEM has contributed to humanitarian work over the past two decades.
The ministry has provided food, clothes, medical care and counselling services to communities across the continent.
JFAEM founder, Evangelist Paul Saungweme, believes the ministry’s success is a testament to God’s grace.
The celebration dinner for JFAEM’s 20th anniversary on July 14, will include current and new partners, as well as anyone who wants to join in the festivities.
“We counsel young people, many of whom are suffering from drugs and substance abuse, rejection and hopelessness,” said Saungweme.
“The anniversary means more than just a number of years in this ministry.
“It reassures me of God’s faithfulness as we have managed to achieve a feat very few have done in Africa.
“Managing to hold an average of six crusades each year, for the past 20 years without a foreign donor or a local organisation or church supporting us year in and year out, has just been amazing, and points to God’s Grace.
“To run an interdenominational ministry without regular income in the form of offerings, tithes and other income flows is hard and unheard of.”
