The workers have attached airline property to recover US$378 000 they are owed.
The carrier is gripped by a labour crisis with pilots and flight attendants on strike demanding payment of US$12 million in outstanding salaries and allowances.
Air Zimbabwe board chairperson Mr Jonathan Kadzura yesterday told New Ziana that Government had intervened to recover the airline’s property.
“That issue has been resolved amicably as the parent ministry has assisted with payment of the money owed,” Mr Kadzura said.
He added that the “seized assets” would soon be returned.
Mr Kadzura said pilots and cabin crews, however, remained on strike.
“The strike is still on-going as the pilots and cabin crews have other issues which we are still to resolve,” he said.
Domestic, regional and international flights have been disrupted as pilots and the cabin crews have been on strike.
They are demanding payment of outstanding salaries and allowances amounting to US$12 million.
The national carrier is saddled with a debt overhang of US$100 million and requires more than US$300 million for recapitalisation. – New Ziana
