letter to the South African Embassy in Harare. MDC 99 president Job Sikhala, Democratic Party president Wurayayi Zembe, Zanu-Ndonga chairman Reketayi Semwayo and Zapu president Dumiso Dabengwa signed the letter. They said in the letter that they should be included in major processes in the country such as the Constitution-making process and crafting of the election roadmap.
The political parties said that the three political parties in the inclusive Government — Zanu-PF and the two MDC formations — had no monopoly over such processes of national concern.
“We, the principals of the undersigned political parties outside the Government of National Unity and working together on the common issues platform, hereby petition you as Sadc mediator in the Zimbabwe political crisis with our demand to meet you during the next visit to Zimbabwe so that we can make our submission of issues and proposal on the way forward in our country,” reads part of the letter.
The parties alleged that the inclusive Government had totally failed to provide Zimbabwe with effective governance where fundamental economic, social and political human needs can be fulfilled.
