Minors steal laptop from car

TWO minors have appeared in court for stealing a laptop from a car. The two minors, whose identities cannot be disclosed, pleaded guilty to the charge. The first minor is 12 years old and is in Grade 5. The age of the other minor was not stated in court papers.

Mr Fletcher Karombe prosecuted while provincial magistrate Mr Tendai Mahwe presided over the matter.
The court heard that on March 18 the minors attended a church service at St Joseph`s Roman Catholic Church.
The complainant, Irene Gremu, parked her car, a silver Toyota Camry, at the church.

Gremu left her mini laptop on the passenger’seat while she attended church.
The minors opened the car door., took the laptop and disappeared from the scene.
Mr Mahwe instructed the mother of 12-year-old boy to take her son home and discipline him.
