This year’s finals will be run under the theme “Colour Blocking” where 23 beauties will be battling it out for the prestigious title.
Event organiser Sarah Mpofu-Sibanda said everything was going according to plan.
“We have decided to have our finals on the 16th of December and we are going to bring the best girls that we have identified,” she said.
Mpofu-Sibanda said this year fans are going to have an opportunity to vote for their most favourite model.
“We have just introduced Facebook account where fans are going to vote for the model they would like most on the night.
“This is going to make our event more exciting as the whole process is going to be unpredictable,” she said.
Mpofu-Sibanda said this year they also decided to use the theme “Colour Blocking” because they are proud to be Zimbabwean.
“We are going to use this show as a platform to show the world that we are proud of being black and also of being Zimbabweans,” she said.
Mpofu-Sibanda said a lot has been said about Zimbabweans but that has not affected them in any way, as they are still confident and proud of being who they are.
She said the finals are going to be used to nominate the girls who are going to represent Bulawayo at national level.
“We lost the Miss Zimbabwe title last year to Harare but this time we are going to reclaim our title,” she said.
Mpofu-Sibanda said some of the girls that are going to be part of this year’s Miss Bulawayo finals are Precious Dube, Moreblessing Motsi, Bliss Mkandla, Kabelo Ngugama, and Belinda Moyo.
“We are urging our fans to come in large numbers to promote our local girls who have done us proud on a number of occasions,” she said.
In 2010 Nadia Gori won the Miss Bulawayo title. She went on to represent Bulawayo in the national finals where she scooped the Miss Talent title.
