THE Bulawayo Miss Mthwakazi traditional fashion show has postponed its awards modelling ceremony which was set for yesterday, 26 May.

They will now be held in August on a date to be announced at the same venue at Bulawayo Polytechnic’s Beit Hall.

The director of the awards Miss Felicity Dube said that the awards have been pushed further as there were many cultural events this month and that many of the models are at school outside town.

“We have postponed Miss Mthwakazi because there are so many cultural events this month. Some schoolchildren raised concerns especially those outside town so we have agreed to do it during school holidays so that they get an opportunity to showcase their modelling skills and show their natural beauty,” she said.

All models around the country are encouraged to partake in this show which is meant to elevate and promote diverse Zimbabwean traditional cultures and their fashion.
