Nurses have always been known for their immaculate cleanliness, something that is usually matched only by the beauty of those practising the profession.
While their role as professional caregivers can never be underplayed, nurses, with the striking purity of their white uniforms, are usually the apple of many a manas eye.
For many, nurses are the forbidden fruit, the eye candy that the sick or healthy both finding themselves staring at whether in hospital or on the streets.
This Friday, however, idle gazers will not have to steal a glimpse as all this eye candy will be on full display for all to see.
United Bulawayo Hospitals (UBH) is set to hold its inaugural Miss UBH pageant where 15 beauties from the institution will compete for the top prize.
Confirming the gig, UBH CEO Ms Nonhlanhla Ndlovu said the gig was an annual event organised by the student body as part of fundraising initiatives.
a?Yes, I can confirm that Miss UBH is taking place this Friday. As usual it is an event that is organised by our student body with the intention of raising funds for charity,a? she said.
One of the organisers of the gig, DJ Sweeto, said that this was a one-of-a-kind gig as people were not used to pageants of this sort.
a?Itas unique because modelling is not something that you would associate with nurses despite their famous beauty and thatas why we chose to also get involved,a? he said.
The gig, set to held at the UBH Dining Hall, kicks off at 6pm with Events Techniques DJs set to provide the entertainment.
