Miss Universe Zimbabwe, Sakhile Dube, has departed for Mexico, where she will represent Zimbabwe in the Miss Universe pageant’s grand finale next month.
Dube will join contestants from around the globe at a boot camp beginning on Wednesday, preparing to compete with over 130 participants at the final event on November 16 at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.
In an interview with ZBC News before departing at Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport in Harare yesterday, Dube expressed confidence in her readiness.
“I firmly believe that I’m prepared. I’ve been working hard on this journey and practicing my walk, as seen on my social media platforms,” she shared.
To enhance her performance, Dube has been taking public speaking classes to refine her communication skills for interviews and onstage presentations.
“I feel ready and excited about this journey,” she added.
Fans can support Dube by voting on the Miss Universe app. The app offers free daily votes and additional paid voting options, and a link in Dube’s Instagram bio provides access to both.
Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua, the reigning Miss Universe, will crown her successor at the event.
