Miss Zim Personality dethroned

involvement in “scandalous personal affairs and abuse of alcohol”.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, the brand licence holders of the Miss Zimbabwe beauty pageantry, yesterday confirmed the dethronement.
“Following numerous reports that we had been receiving over her alleged unbecoming and uncouth behaviour, we have since established that her conduct violated the rules and regulations of the pageantry.
“All the reports that we had been receiving over her misconduct caused unwarranted negative publicity to the pageantry,” said ZTA public relations and communications manager Sugar Chagonda.
Lungile, who is popularly known as Cyclone Ree, is alleged to have stolen a watch from a Zimbabwean based in America during an alleged sex orgy at a Bulawayo lodge, accusations which she has since denied.
In her response to the allegations, Ree claimed that the US- based man, Mandla “Mandy” Sithole, had misplaced his watch.
Chagonda added that ZTA has since terminated her contract with immediate effect and she can no longer engage in any business for and on behalf of the authority.
“We appreciate that models have their own lives but once they are in the office, they are inducted and are meant to abide by a certain code of conduct. When incidents like this happen, we are left with no option but to dethrone the model,” he said.
