Missing boy found dead

Reports yesterday indicated that the body was discovered after builders fetching water from the well decided to dig deeper as it was running dry.
The builders stumbled upon a human body confirmed by the parents to be of their missing son.

The boy’s father Creaven Nyamutsaka identified the body.
“It is my son because I can identify him by the feet and clothes he was wearing the day he disappeared.
Acting Harare Provincial police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Tarirai Dube confirmed the incident.

He said police had since launched investigations into the matter.
“We received a report of the body of one Nyasha Nyamutsaka which was found by builders who were using water from the well while building a house which is about 10 metres away from the boy’s home.”

Police also confirmed a report of the missing child.
“The case was under investigation from the day the boy’s parents made a report and now that the parents have identified their son we will continue investigating the matter until we find the real cause of his death.”

The boy disappeared on January 14 and the parents said they last saw him playing with his friends.
The parents suspect foul play in the boy’s death.
