DEFENDER Malvin Mkolo who recently joined Simba Bhora from Bulawayo Chiefs has bade farewell to his former paymasters as Mkolo joins Simba Bhora together with Billy Veremu who has also left Amakhosi Amahle.
Commenting on his move, Mkolo paid tribute to Chiefs for helping him make a name for himself.
“Thank you Amakhosi Amahle for the man l am today. It’s all because of you. I would love to thank my teammates for the love and support they gave me and also the memories we shared together not forgetting our fans. You have been with us since day one, it was not an easy journey but you were with us all the way (Love you Ninja family).Bulawayo chiefs will forever be in my heart once a Ninja, always a Ninja. May the good Lord be with you in the coming year, may he grant you all your wishes,’ said Mkolo.
At Chiefs, Mkolo won the Chibuku Super Cup in the 2022 season.
Ambitious Simba Bhora have made 10 new signings ahead of the 2024 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Season.
The Shamva based side have brought in 2022 Soccer Star of the Year Walter Musona, goalkeeper Talbert Shumba, Billy Veremu, Junior Makunike and Taimon Mvula who were with Dynamos last season as well as Perfect Chikwende, Ghanaian Wilson Mensah who was at Triangle, Eastern Region Soccer League top goal scorer Harrison Masina who was with FC Hunters and Gift Saunyama who was with Black Rhinos. Simba Bhora’s long serving player and all top goal scorer from Division 2 up to Premier League Tinashe ‘Maswera’ Balakasi has been released by the club as he is linked with a move to Orapa United in Botswana.
