GOSPEL musician Everton Mlalazi has a unique way of worshiping God through his music.
The singer, whose music is penetrating the sub-region, is striking the right chords.
He has dropped a new song titled Zita Renyu, which preaches the eternal gospel of having faith in God.
“The song was written to acknowledge the power of the cross.
“Jesus can rescue all of us from sin and with that said all glory and honour belongs to Him and He must be praised in heaven and on earth,” he said.
The Nomakunje hit-maker said the single was off his forthcoming album.
“It is a single from a series of albums entitled In The Presence – Its Vol 2 and the album is entitled God’s Grace.
“The album has a live recording which was done at the end of last year and it includes songs such as Nomakunje which features Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
“To experience this beauty of worship and incredible art, visit our platforms and we will be releasing more songs as the month progresses.”
Asked if the single was strategically dropped in the month of celebrating women, the award-winning Mlalazi said:
“Purely unintentional, however, what a wonderful way to celebrate women by telling them that the answer to everything in their lives is the cross, hang on to the cross, give the Lord praise and honour and everything will be okay.”
He is appreciative of the opportunity he has been given to worship God.
“I am grateful to God for this opportunity to be able to share my gift and get recognition for it.
“I am truly humbled by the love and support and thank you to everyone who listens to my music and votes for me week in and week out on all the radio stations, Instagram, FB, Twitter and YouTube subscription, love and like I appreciate every interaction.
“We will continue to release music that brings us closer to God, with God’s grace we intend to have EM and Worship Therapy shows in Harare and Bulawayo, free shows for all to attend and worship the Lord,” said Mlalazi.
Last week, his song Nomakunje — which has an accompanying video featuring Ladysmith Black Mambazo, a Grammy award-winning South African male choral group — was in pole position on three local radio stations.
The song, released at the beginning of the year and has been receiving positive response from the fans, having been voted into first position on Star FM, Classic 263 and Skyz Metro FM.
