Mliswa leads AAG delegation to Sadc summit

Africa to set the record straight on developments in Zimbabwe.
AAG vice president Mr Themba Mliswa is leading the delegation.
The pressure group also wants to push for political parties in the inclusive government to adhere to the Global Political Agreement.
In a statement yesterday, AAG chief executive Dr Davison Gomo said the group wanted to follow closely GPA matters as bickering was impacting negatively on the country.
“The seemingly continued lack of consensus on the GPA issues is costing our country time, resources and indeed polarising our political landscape.
“The group also aims to, on behalf of its multitudes of members, tell the true story and counter any negative reports that continue to be peddled by the international media.
“It is its conviction that the parties stick to the terms of the agreed and signed Global Political Agreement and any attempts to bring new issues and arbitrarily to extend the GPA is retrogressive and uncalled for,” Dr Gomo said.
Dr Gomo said the organisation was also concerned with the extent of external interference in Zimbabwean issues. He said this was in violation of the international law.
“The Affirmative Action Group is also equally concerned by the extent of the external interference on the Zimbabwe issues as this is in violation of the international law and an attack on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of country.
“We expect all participating countries to facilitate dialogue between the principals only and leave Zimbabweans to decide on their own future,” said Dr Gomo.
