MODEL  Amanda Mutabeni is proud of the impact the books she has authored are having on people’s lives.

The 24-year-old recently launched her second book in July.

She told H-Metro that the feedback she has been getting has been overwhelming.

“I have been receiving a lot of good reactions to my books than I expected.

“Truly speaking, the response has just been amazing and people are saying they are finding the books very helpful.

“Knowing myself very well, if an idea pops up in my head, I will write it down.”

She said she was driven by the nature of her job to write books.

“I ventured into writing because I was inspired by the urge to inspire other people through my work.

“What inspired my first book, ‘The Realities of Modern Day Dating’ is The Question Segment, a show that I host on the Relationship Hub WhatsApp Groups, led by Tinaani Nick.

“This hub helps people by discussing relationships and this Question Segment show is helping a lot of people.

“The launch of that first book put me into the spotlight and I inspired a lot of youngsters who wanted to be models as well.

“The interest they had in my first book, and all the questions they had, then led me to write my second book,” she said.

To date, she has written two books.

“I have published two books so far, the first one is titled, ‘The Realities of Modern Day Dating,’ which is a question-and-answer book about relationships nowadays.

“The second one is titled, ‘Becoming The Model’ and it is a guide for models and aspiring models. It is a guide for models, and aspiring models, which delivers knowledge about how to get started in the competitive field of modelling, whether you are male or female.

“It is a comprehensive handbook for anyone interested in becoming a professional model.

“The book is based on some of my experiences as a model and also some pointers from my avid reading and wide research,” she told H-Metro.

Asked how she finds time for modelling, accounting and writing, she said:

“Well, you know modelling is quite seasonal.

“It is not every day that you get to do a modelling job and writing is also part time, since I work full-time as an accountant.

“So, usually, in my free time, when I am not working or when I do not have a modelling job scheduled, I will be writing.”
